## One builder, one platform, two packages

kitcommerce.store is run by Swadesh Behera — [itswadesh](https://github.com/itswadesh) on GitHub, in India — who builds both packages of KitCommerce: GoCommerce, the backend and admin, and Svelte Commerce, the storefront.

### How the two packages started

#### Svelte Commerce, since 2019

The storefront has been public on GitHub since October 2019. It began in front of one backend and now runs against 26, and it serves stores in production today — [the live ones are listed with their scores](https://kitcommerce.store/live-projects/).

#### GoCommerce, since 2026

The backend came later, in August 2026: one Go binary with its admin compiled in, on one PostgreSQL. No store is known to run it in production yet, and this site says so wherever it matters.

#### This site

KitCommerce is the platform, GoCommerce and Svelte Commerce are its packages, and kitcommerce.store is its website. It has no paid edition and no cloud: the packages are MIT licensed, used together or either one on its own.

### How this site is written

- **Checked, not asserted.** Feature claims are checked against the repositories, and the [features pages](https://kitcommerce.store/features/) name the file that does the work.
- **Measured, not borrowed.** Numbers are counted from the code or measured and dated, like the Lighthouse scores on the live-projects page. No statistic is quoted from anyone else’s marketing.
- **Sourced and dated.** Every figure about another platform on the [comparison pages](https://kitcommerce.store/compare/) links to that platform’s own page, with the date it was read.
- **Written by the builder.** The comparisons are a builder’s view, so each one also says when the other platform is the better choice.
- **Corrected in public.** If something here is wrong, [open an issue](https://github.com/itswadesh/gocommerce-landing-page/issues) or [get in touch](https://kitcommerce.store/contact/); the site’s source is on GitHub too.
